A teacher is being investigated by New Summerfield ISD, Superintendent Gregg Weiss confirmed this morning.

Weiss said the second-year teacher with the district chose to resign Tuesday amid the investigation.

Weiss would not reveal the reason behind the investigation or any specific allegations. However, he said New Summerfield ISD is still working on its investigation and described the teacher as someone who “served the district well.”
