New Diana 22, Ore City 0
ORE CITY -- Raul Esquivel had two interceptions to spark a shutout performance by New Diana while teammate Beau Brewer rushed for 226 yards in a 22-0 win over Ore City 22-0 on Friday at Rebel Stadium.

New Diana (1-0) got on the scoreboard with 3:14 left in the first quarter on a three-yard touchdown pass from Bull Atchley to Edmond Jones. On the extra-point attempt, the snap was blown and kicker Blake Barron scrambled until passed to a receiver in the end zone for a two-point conversion. Esquivel made the first of his picks later in the half.

Esquivel killed Ore City's first second-half drive with his second interception. Brewer rushed for two touchdowns in the third quarter, the first an 80-yard scoring run. Brewer added another touchdown run with 2:31 left in the third.

Brewer compiled his rushing total on 23 attempts, fueling a New Diana rushing attack which went for 440 yards on 62 attempts. Brewer also added an interception on defense in the fourth quarter.

Ore City quarterback Dalton Hildreth completed six passes for 115 yards. On Ore City's first drive, Dalton Hildreth had a 25-yard pass to Jarmarkus Boyd. Atchley had a 29-yard run on New Diana's first drive.

Dee Newsome had a second-half sack for New Diana. Keelan May was Ore City's quarterback in the fourth quarter, leading the Rebels on two separate drives which ended at the New Diana 17-yard line and 30-yard line, the latter ending with 1:07 remaining in the game.

New Diana (1-0) visits Elysian Fields (1-0) next Friday while Ore City (0-1) travels to Harmony (0-1).
