SUV Flips In Troup-Loop Intersection, But No Life-threatening Injuries
By CATHRYN KHALIL
KYTX CBS19

Two drivers collided in the intersection of Troup and the Loop in Tyler at the lunch hour today, leaving one woman with a broken arm and one woman walking away from a flipped car.

A VW Bug that was turning onto the Loop collided with a Toyota Forerunner, causing the Forerunner to flip over in mid-air and land on its top.

No word on who will be cited in the accident yet, but witnesses say the Forerunner had a green light, and the Bug was attempting to turn onto the Loop from Troup highway in front of the Forerunner, misjudging the timing.

The driver of the Bug had a broken arm. The driver of the Forerunner crawled out from under her vehicle through the passenger's side and was not injured. Police say she was extremely lucky.

Traffic was backed up on Loop 323 during the lunch hour as the wreck was cleared.
