Crime Watch: Cinema Sustains Thousands In Damage Sunday
The ticket window of Times Square Cinema suffered an estimated $20,000 in damage when a Big Sandy man allegedly crashed his vehicle into the building multiple times early Sunday morning.
Tyler police arrested Samuel Stevens, 18, and charged him with disorderly conduct and driving while intoxicated after, a police report reads, he repeatedly drove his vehicle into the building shortly before 5 a.m.
Stevens was booked into Smith County Jail and faces a felony criminal mischief charge.

Driving While Intoxicated
Police arrested and charged a Tyler man with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly crashed his pickup into a home early Sunday morning.
According to a Tyler Police Department news release, Lucas Freeman, 29, reportedly drove his vehicle into a home in the 3400 block of Brookside Drive about 2:30 a.m. before driving away from the scene. Police arrested Freeman not long afterward. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Impersonating a public servant
A 22-year-old man faces charges of impersonating a public servant after allegedly operating emergency flashing lights in his vehicle while driving on a Tyler roadway.
Police arrested Jairo Ortega, of Tyler, on Saturday after a sergeant reported seeing Ortega closely following a vehicle on Old Jacksonville Highway with alternating red and blue lights flashing from the dashboard of his light-duty pickup.
