Fourth Gallery Main Street Fine Art Exhibit Opens Thursday
Gallery Main Street's fourth fine art exhibit -- "Melting Pot: Crossing Cultural Divides" will open Thursday with a reception in downtown Tyler.
The exhibit will feature paintings and sculpture honoring the diversity found in East Texas, Main Street Director Beverly Abell said. Special guests from a diverse range of ethnicities will serve favorite family dishes while dressed in traditional clothing and Alfred Lee will provide musical entertainment, she said.
"This show focuses on the diversity of people and cultures found in East Texas and this is a perfect opportunity to honor them and the important role they play in the community," Ms. Abell said.
The reception to open the juried art exhibit is scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Gallery Main Street, 110 W. Erwin St. Announcement of "Best of Show" is set for 5 p.m.
