Brook Hill Highlights All-District Team
Bullard Brook Hill dominated TAPPS Division III-District 2 on the field and, most recently, on the 2009 all-district football team.

Quarterback/defensive back Tyler Baker, wide receiver/safety Jeremey Chappelle and linebacker Tallen Harris all earned superlatives, as did coach Terry Pirtle.

Baker and Chappelle shared the MVP award, Harris was named the defensive MVP and Pirtle won coach of the year in his first season with the Guard, which ended in a loss to Waco Reicher in the state title game.

All Saints' Ruben Delong was named the newcomer of the year as a freshman receiver. The offensive MVP went to Dallas Shelton running back Alyn Jackson.

Brook Hill racked up 14 first-teamers and 10 more on the second team. Baker, Chappelle and Harris were among 10 Guard players to be named to the list on both offense and defense.

The others were Heath Dickey, Justin Northcutt, A.J. Minter, Ross Lee, Zack Cool, Jared Dickey and JB Moss, who was selected three times, one as the first-team kicker.

Delong was the lone Trojan on either first team. All Saints placed four players in five positions on the second team, including: Hale Buckley (RB), John Norton (WR and DB), Harrison Jenkins (DL) and Luke Nelson (LB).

The Trojans will have a lot to build with next year as only Harrison Jenkins is a senior among the five players to be honored.
