IN Magazine Makes Debut
Tyler newspaper subscribers will find something special in their paper today -- IN magazine.
The mission of the new glossy bimonthly lifestyle magazine is to capture the region's unique flavor and personalities like no other publication before.
The magazine has five regular departments: IN Style, IN Focus, IN Healthy Living, IN House and Home and INsider's Guide. The topics include fashion trends, profiles of East Texans, health, travel, home showcases and design inspirations.
The debut issue's theme is weddings and Valentine's Day. A bride in a beautiful gown and holding a bouquet of flowers graces the cover.
"IN magazine has strong editorial content and a creative vision that I'm excited about," Editor Amy Pearson said. "The inspiration of our photographers and designers has resulted in a publication with national newsstand appeal.
"Our writers tapped into a diverse array of local sources -- experts in their fields -- to bring you a great representation of what's available in East Texas."
Experience travel, fashion, homes, trends and lifestyle through the eyes of fellow East Texans.
"There is something for everybody," Mrs. Pearson said. "It's not just for women. There is a good cross-section of topics that everyone would want to pick up and read."
Concepts from the newspaper's former magazines, Healthy Living and House & Home, are included in the new IN magazine.
In addition to Mrs. Pearson, the IN magazine team includes Shannon Dorsey as publications manager, with Connie Conaway, Dawn Rhodes and Renee Luker on the sales team. Graphic designers are Angela Scoggins and Renea Chembles.
A subsidiary of T.B. Butler Publishing Co. Inc., IN magazine will be inserted in newspapers for subscribers and made available on racks throughout the region.
"I'm most excited because I think this magazine has the potential to be the first and foremost lifestyle magazine," Mrs. Pearson said. "Our plan is to penetrate the entire region and give readers something they aren't currently getting."
