Psalmist School of Music named 18-year-old Kevin Miller, son of L.T. and Dina Kirkland Miller, of Tyler, its outstanding musician.

He is a 2009 graduate of John Tyler High School and attends Tyler Junior College. He is a classical guitar student of Jason LeCount.

Other awards presented during the Psalmist School Winter Youth Recital and Awards Presentation included: Most Improved Instrumentalists: Jocelyn Hodges, Bullard; Channah Clayton and Berdine Norcilus, both of Tyler; Most Industrious Students: Hannah Goodwin, Flint; Seth Angelo and Hannah McClellan, both of Tyler; Instrumental Excellence Awards: Braden Burleson of Tyler and Daniel Armstrong of Bullard; Vocal Excellence Award: Peyton Bruce of Arp; and Instructor’s Awards: Briana Owens, Krystle Bounds and Richard Sherwood all of Tyler; and Ryan Williams, of Van.
