East Texas Firefighters Battle 10-Acre Smith County Blaze
Firefighters from several departments joined together Monday as they fought a grass fire off County Road 282 East on the edge of Smith County.
Chapel Hill Fire Depa-tment was dispatched to the scene first, and they quickly called for help from Troup and Whitehouse.
As the firefighters battled the 10-acre blaze, they were able to save multiple structures. No structures were damaged and no injuries were reported.
