Daingerfield Triumphs
HUNTSVILLE -- Daingerfield scored four touchdowns in a five-minute span of the second quarter to defeat Refugio 35-10 Saturday in the Class 2A Division II semifinals.
Daingerfield will now face Bushland next week in the state championship game.
The Tigers will be making their seventh appearance in the state title game. A big reason why is senior tailback KoKo Smith, who carried 15 times for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
Daingerfield's defense stymied Refugio all night, recovering two fumbles and picking off two passes.
