Richard Andrew Deck
WHITEHOUSE — Graveside services for Richard Andrew Deck, 67, Whitehouse, are scheduled for 1p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Rucker Cemetery, Troup with Reverend Roy Thoene officiating. Services are under the direction of Cottle Funeral Home, Troup.
Mr. Deck died Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at his residence. He was born Aug. 12, 1942, in St. Louis, Mo. to the late Glenn R. and Clovis Maxwell Deck. He moved to Tyler from St. Louis in 1956 and to Whitehouse in 1969. He married Mary McMichael Hamilton on March 14, 1969, in Tyler. He had retired as a sheet metal mechanic with Maddox Air Conditioning, Tyler. He loved to farm and garden.
Mr. Deck had attended the Christian church and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Deck, Whitehouse; a son and daughter-in-law, Stacey and Tara Deck, Coupland; a daughter, Courtney L. Holder, Whitehouse; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Barbara Deck, Tyler; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Mary Ann McMichael, Tyler, and Robert and Crystal McMichael, Farmington, Ark.; three grandchildren, Tristan Deck, Jordan Deck, and Katherine Deck; numerous nephews and nieces and great nephews and great nieces.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hamilton, Dean Martin, Johnny L. Calicutt, Don Darden, Tony Meeks, and Charles Ervin.
The family will receive friends at Cottle Funeral Home, Troup, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 23.
