Ada Gill Crocker
ATHENS — Services for Ada Gill Crocker, 65, Athens, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Richard Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Crocker died Nov. 7, 2009, at home.

She was born Jan. 31, 1944, in Nacogdoches to the late Dewey Debar and Willie V. Norton Johnson. Ada resided in Athens since 1975 and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She formerly worked for Argon Medical Devices Inc. 11 years where she was a shipping and receiving supervisor. She also worked at West Place Nursing Center in dietary and East Texas Medical Center in materials. She was a member of the East Texas Medical Center Hospital Auxiliary where she passionately served for 13 years and accumulated more than 6,500 hours of service.

Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Blair Crocker; sons, Dewey Dwayne Gill and wife Carol, Gun Barrel City, William Reese Gill and wife Judy, Athens; daughter, Nancy Kaye Green and husband Mike, Kilgore; stepson, Robert Crocker and wife Linda, Chandler; sister, Melba Dean Burgin, Magnolia; extended family, Becky Shavers, Athens; 10 grandchildren; nieces, Sharon Smith, Keller and Sonya Bynes, Pflugerville.

Pallbearers will include Owen Crocker, Roger Crocker, James Crocker, Mike Green, Whit Smith and Chris Bynes.

Visitation for family and friends will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
