TJC Tennis Tourney Scheduled
The Tyler Junior College tennis program will hold the Apache Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The men's action will take place at the JoAnn Medlock Murphy Tennis Center and the Louise Brookshire Community Tennis Complex, both located on the TJC campus.
The women's matches will be at UT Tyler and Tyler Tennis & Swim Club.
Play begins at 9 a.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Teams competing are Temple, Collin and TJC from the two-year ranks; Abilene Christian, Ouachita Baptist from NCAA Division II; UT Tyler from Division III; and Stephen F. Austin, Louisiana Tech and Sam Houston State from Division I.
Smoke Signals: The TJC men competed in the Razorback Invitational at the University of Arkansas last weekend. The Apaches had a 29-14 record -- 13-0 with South Dakota State, 11-1 with Missouri-Kansas City, 3-3 with Arkansas, 2-4 with Tulsa and 0-6 with Oklahoma State. Tyler Junior College is scheduled to play a soccer doubleheader against Lon Morris today at Pat Hartley Field -- 5 p.m. (women) and 7 p.m. (men).

This will be the regular-season finales for both TJC squads, who have clinched No. 1 seeds for the regional tournament.
The Apache Ladies are 13-0-1 while the TJC men are 13-0.
