East Texas Drilling Report
DEVELOPMENTAL
Devon Energy will drill the HB Pyle A-Neal B (SA) Well No. 1H to 13,000 feet 5.2 miles southeast of Fairfield in the M. Riondo Survey, A-25. It is in the Nan-Su-Gail (Cotton Valley Field.
XTO Energy will drill the Orand Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 5 to 12,900 feet 1.6 miles southwest of Fairfield in the Teague (Cotton Valley-Bossier) Field. It is in the I.H. Reed survey, A-23.
GMX Resources will drill the Mia Austin Well No. 1H to 13,000 feet nine miles southeast of Marshall in the North Carthage (Bossier Shale) Field. It is in the W. Williams Survey, A-757.
XTO Energy will drill the Henry Oney Well No. 8 to 12,500 feet 3.4 miles northwest of Harleton in the Whelan (Cotton Valley) Field. It is in the A. Allbright Survey, A-24 and may be drilled in the Whelan (Travis Peak Prorated) Field.
GMX Resources will drill the T.J.T. Simpson Well No. 2H to 13,000 feet 12 miles northeast of Marshall in the North Carthage (Bossier Shale) Field. It is in the W.M. Elliott Survey, A-227.
Berry Oil will drill the Hazel Byrne Gas Unit 3 Well No. 2H to 11,200 feet in a lease 10.6 miles south of Marshall in the North Carthage (Bossier Shale) Field. It is in the J. Asher Survey, A-35.
Gastar Exploration Texas will drill the Gastar Donelson Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 4 in a wildcat field to 20,000 feet 7.2 miles southeast of Ridge in the J.M. Viesca Survey, A-30. It may be drilled in the Hilltop Resort (Bossier, Knowles and Pettet) Fields.
XTO Energy will drill the Fern V. Robinson Gas Unit Well No. 2H and the Crider Gas Unit Well No. 4.
The No. 2H will hit 18,500 feet 18.6 miles southeast of Groesbeck in the Bear Grass (Cotton Valley) Field. It is in the M.C. Rejon Survey, A-26. It may be drilled in the Bear Grass (Pettit or Travis) Fields.
The No. 4 will hit 13,300 feet seven miles southwest of Teague in the Freestone (Cotton Valley-Bossier) in the G. Sanford Survey, A-505.
Valence Operating will drill two wells in the Farrar (Cotton Valley Lime) Field. The Tweener Well No. 1 and the Tweener Well No. 2 will each hit 15,000 feet in the I. Connelly Survey, A-105. The No. 1 is 3.8 miles southwest of Donie and the No. 2 is 4.2 miles southwest of Donie. These wells may be drilled in the Farrar (Travis Peak) Field or the Southeast Farrar (Pettit) Field.
Devon Energy will drill the Barton Well No. 1H to 18,500 feet 6.6 miles north of Martinsville in the Naconiche Creek (Bossier) Field. It is in the W. Hill Survey, A-245 and may be drilled in the Naconiche Creek (Haynesville) Field, a wildcat field or the North Carthage (Bossier Shale) Field.
Samson Lone Star will drill the Puma Gas Unit 1 Well No. 1 to 12,500 feet a lease eight miles southwest of Nacogdoches, in the North Red Land (Travis Peak) Field in the A. Bermea Survey, A-10.
The well may also be drilled in the Shawnee Spring (Travis Peak) Field, the Black Bayou (Travis Peak) Field, a Wildcat Field or the Red Land, Northeast (Pettit) Field.
Enexco will drill the Black Branch Gas Unit Well No. 1H to 9,400 feet in a wildcat field 12.5 miles southwest of Nacogdoches in the M. Ussury Survey, A-572. It may be drilled in the Loco Bayou (James Lime) Field.
XTO Energy will drill the R.H. Frier Gas Unit II Well No. 10 to 14,400 feet in a lease 8.5 miles northwest of Franklin, in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley) Field in the J. Farris Survey, A-147.
XTO Energy will drill the Bilsing Gas Unit No. 2 Well No. 2 to 13,800 feet 6.3 miles northwest of Franklin in the Bald Prairie (Cotton Valley) Field in the A. McMillan Survey, A-224.
Anadarko E&P will drill the Major Kennedy Estate Well No. 30HH to 12,500 feet in the North Carthage (Bossier Shale) Field in the J. Walling Survey, A-42.
NFR Energy will drill the Kathleen Lee Brown Gas Unit Well No. 6H to 12,000 feet three miles northwest of Prospect in the E.R. Jones Survey, A-466. It is in the Oak Hill (Cotton Valley) Field.
Southwestern Energy Production will drill the Timberstar-BP-Railroad 152 GU 2 Well No. 1H and the Timberstar-BP-Railroad 152 GU 2 Well No. 2H to 7,800 feet 5.8 miles northeast of Attoyac in the Angie (James Lime) Field. They are in the HT&B RR Co. Survey, A-152. The No. 1H may be drilled in the Angie (Pettet) Field.
Southwestern Energy will drill the Acheron (Pettet) Well No. 2H to 8,300 feet 8.4 miles northeast of Attoyac in the Angie (Pettet) Field in the HE&WT RR Co./W.M. Waterman Survey, A-1163.
Harleton Oil & Gas will drill the Annie Faye Hale Well No. 1 to 4,000 feet 2.1 miles east of Diana in the New Diana (Woodbine) Field. It is in the J. Scott Survey, A-440.
COMPLETIONS
XTO Energy completed three wells in the Teague Field.
The J.W. Brown Gas Unit Well No. 3H hit 14,571 feet .9 miles south of Teague and potentialed 3.228 million cubic feet of gas on a 20/64-inch choke.
The Athel Ivy Gas Unit Well No. 6 hit 12,208 feet 1.6 miles northeast of Teague and potentialed 713,000 cubic feet of gas on a 48/64-inch choke.
The Kirsch Gas Unit Well No. 28 hit 11,854 feet 4.7 miles northeast of Teague and potentialed 4.825 million cubic feet of gas on a 14/64-inch choke. Production is in the Cotton Valley-Bossier.
BRG Lone Star completed the Graham S. Gibbard S. Gas Unit Well No. 1 to 10,050 feet 1.6 miles north of Cushing in the Ezim Field. This well potentialed 190,000 cubic feet of gas, choke size was not recorded. Production is in the Travis Peak.
Samson Lone Star completed the John Ross GU 1 Well No. 13 to 10,310 feet 11.5 miles northwest of Nacogdoches. On a 31/64-inch choke the well potentialed 1.842 million cubic feet of gas in the West Douglass Field. Production is in the Travis Peak.
Cabot Oil & Gas completed the Trawick Gas Unit 59 Well No. 1 in the Trawick Field to 10,410 feet one mile southeast of Cushing. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 149,000 cubic feet of gas in the Pettet-Travis Peak Consolidated.
XTO Energy completed the Reagan Heirs Gas Unit No. 1 Well No. 11 in the Bald Prairie Field to 13,025 feet 15.8 miles northeast of Franklin. This well potentialed 2.110 million cubic feet of gas on a 12/64-inch choke in the Cotton Valley Consolidated.
Anadarko E&P completed the CGU 1 Well No. 19 to 9,816 feet 1.2 miles northwest of Carthage in the Carthage Field. On an adjustable choke the well potentialed 1.090 million cubic feet of gas in the Cotton Valley.
Goodrich Petroleum completed The T. Swiley Hay GU Well No. 4H to 16,780 feet 10 miles southwest of Tatum in the Beckville Field. On a 26/64-inch choke the well potentialed 10.528 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville.
Samson Lone Star completed the Grand Poobah Well No. 1H to 3,261 feet 11.5 miles southeast of Shelbyville in the Huxley Field. The well flowed with 543 barrels of crude on a 18/64-inch choke. Production is in the Fredricksburg.
Noble Energy completed the Mary Harris Well No. 1H to 11,754 feet 2.7 miles west of Center in the Center Field. On a 26/64-inch choke the well potentialed 12.634 million cubic feet of gas in the Haynesville formation.
