Services for Mie-Bie “Rose” Maines, 76, of Tyler, will be held on Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Many, La., with the Rev. Joseph Martina officiating. Arrangements are with Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.

Mrs. Maines passed away Oct. 11, 2009, at Briar Cliff Nursing Center in Tyler.
She was born March 10, 1933, in Tainan, Taiwan, to Faun and Gao Te.
Mrs. Maines was a floral designer who worked in Houston and then Tyler. She loved to draw and paint. She was a member of the Catholic faith.

Mrs. Maines was preceded in death by her son, Robert Maines, in February 2005.
Mie-Bie “Rose” is survived by her loving family including her husband of 48 years, Richard Maines of Tyler; grandchildren, Richard “B.J.” Maines of Fort Hood, Brandy M. Dupuis and husband Kevin of Gulfport, Miss., Sonya R. Maines of Dutch Harbor, Alaska; great-grandchildren, Isaiah K. Maines and Rylan J. Dupuis; brother, Ken Shan Faun and sister Lao-Wo Faun, both of Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
