Football: Mount Enterprise 31, Big Sandy 12
MOUNT ENTERPRISE -- The Mount Enterprise Wildcats came to life in the second half to post a 31-12 win over the Big Sandy Wildcats Friday.
The two teams battled to a 6-6 first half tie with Big Sandy (3-1) scoring in the first quarter on a 1-yard quarterback sneak by B.J. Beason.
Mount Enterprise (4-0) tied the game in the second quarter on a 3-yard run by Larry Solomon.
From that point on Mount Enterprise took control, scoring twice in the third quarter onf a 5-yard run by Kevin Pope and a 72-yard pass from Solomon to Shannon Davis for an 18-6 lead.
Mount Enterprise scored twice more in the fourth on a 1-yard carry by Pope and a 55-yard interception return by Grant Grubbs for a 31-6 lead.
Big Sandy added a final touchdown on a 70-yard kickoff return by Cody McClelland.
