Carl Wayne Rogers
Services for Carl Wayne Rogers, 60, of Chandler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at First Baptist Church of Chandler with the Rev. Vic Taylor, the Rev. Don Copeland and Louie Adams officiating under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Chandler Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers died Sept. 6, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Rusk to the late Eldred M. Rogers and Iris Vaughn Rogers.
Carl grew up in Rusk, graduating from Rusk High School in 1967. He served his country in the United States Army, including a year in Vietnam.
Carl married Vicki Lightfoot of Chandler on Nov. 3, 1973. He worked at Kelly-Springfield Tire Company for 29 years.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; daughters, Natalie Rogers of Chandler, Courtney and husband Michael Dugat of Carrollton, and soon-to-be grandson, Kai; brothers, Marvin Rogers of Pharr, Frank Rogers of Rusk; sisters, Linda Rogers of Rusk, Joyce Jones of Gallatin, and Gail Moore of Rusk; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws, whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eldred and Iris Rogers.
Pallbearers will be Danny Lightfoot, Johnny Lightfoot, Phillip Hale, Carl Morse, Sammy Pollard and Craig Adair.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas Foundation, 4111 University Blvd., Tyler, 7570l-6623; or First Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 361, Chandler, 75758.

Carl will forever be remembered as an amazing and caring man who, above all else, loved God and his family. His warmth, smile and ability to make us laugh will be missed every single day.
