Bulldogs Defeat Eagles, 34-21
CANTON -- Edgewood jumped out to a 28-7 lead against Canton and never looked back as the Bulldogs defeated the Eagles, 34-21, Friday in a non-district game at Eagle Stadium.

Edgewood (1-1) fell behind 7-0, but tied the game when Colten Hinton picked off an Eagle pass and raced 28 yards the other way. Ethan Rutter (21-for-25, 287 yards and 4 TDs) connected on scoring passes of 39 and 61 yards to Hinton and Clay Haltom to make it 21-7.

Canton quarterback Chance Wallace cut the lead in half just before halftime on a 34-yard touchdown pass to Trent Termin.

Any chance the Eagles had to come back further was stopped in the second half when the Eagles fumbled on the kickoff return. Canton (1-1) tacked on another touchdown in the fourth quarter on a run by Termin, but it wasn't enough as Edgewood evened its record with the win.
