The Tops In Texas Rodeo in Jacksonville might be in its final two days, but there's still some of the biggest entertainment of this year's event still to come.

Friday night's headliner will be up and coming country singer Zona Jones while Saturday's marquee performer will be Texas country star Pat Green.

"(Zona) is an entertainer from Beaumont who has hit a lot of the college circuits and he's pretty hot right now," said Tops In Texas Rodeo director Charles Dickerson.

Music performances are set to being between 9:30 and 10 p.m. each night.

But country singers won't be the only entertainment on display. Rodeo events begin nightly at 8 p.m. with calf roping, steer-wrestling, team roping, saddle and bare-back bronco riding, bull riding and barrel racing, all events typically found in a classic professional rodeo, Dickerson said.

"We also have the top funny man in the business, the man in the can with the pink hat, Rudy Burns, our special entertainer," Dickerson said. "And we also have our bullfighter, Travis Adams."

In addition, a special rodeo will be held for special needs children at 8 a.m. Saturday and will include stick horse races, wagon rides and horse riding under the supervision of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association members.

Box seat tickets for July today for $18 and $25 for Saturday.

General admission tickets for July today for $17 and $28 for Saturday.

Box seats can be purchased by calling the ticket office at (903) 586-3285.

General admission tickets can be purchased by going to www.topsintexasrodeo.com or at the gate the night of a rodeo performance.

Proceeds from the rodeo will go to scholarships and local charities.
