RESPONSE: I can no longer watch my country, America, our Christian nation, go to pot without raising my voice.

It took 200 years to build this great nation and one election - or 100 days so far, to totally ruin our country. Some of you kept saying, "We need change, change, change." Boy, are you getting it. And, it is ruining America. We are in a downward spiral. People are losing their homes, jobs, money, retirement, and the big shots are being paid more. You gripe about the Bush administration, however, you were still living quite well during that time.

I wonder when the Obama voters are going to wake up and realize we are in big trouble. Obama said America is not a Christian land. Well, it was before he came onto the scene. And, we read he is never still, he is running here and there, bowing, shaking hands and smiling big at our enemies. I feel he is playing right into their hands, and all the while they are laughing behind his back.

I recall when Russia said vowed to take over America without having to lift a finger or fight. What do you people want? Socialism? Also I am wondering if our future history books will mention that America made their biggest mistake in the 2008 election.

What about this Czar business that has been mentioned? We are not Russia "yet."

Yes, I attended the "tea parties." I attended as a concerned citizen, and am so proud to be an American, and do not like how the government is wasting our money. I say Amen to the letter writers in the Monday, April 27 paper. I am appalled at the lack of morality in our country. If all would put God first in their lives, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in. we need the "tea parties" to show where we stand. Thank God my parents knew America as a Christian nation. But, at 80, I may be forced to experience something different.
