Once again we hear of a pit bull attack, severely injuring an innocent person. Time and time again individuals are keeping these animals without regard to citizen safety. The mentality of these owners continually astound me.

Please spare me the diatribe that these dogs are safe as pets. Have you not seen the news reports from all areas that reveal the “family pet” suddenly turned on their child, an adult or another dog and killed or mauled them without warning?

This temperament is part of their nature and is just lying low waiting for that moment that pulls their trigger.

This nature can rear its ugly head with terrible consequences without warning.
