BULLARD -- A 2002 graduate of The Brook Hill School has made a contribution that will go in the American Freedom Museum on campus.
U.S. Air Force pilot Lt. Scott Roark came to the school March 18 and presented photos of himself in planes he has flown in as well as several flight patches he has won, said Steve Dement, Brook Hill founder.
Roark said he wanted to contribute partly to say "thanks" to Brook Hill for "providing a good foundation." Roark also plans to donate a flight suit and helmet he has worn, which will go in the museum.
The Brook Hill alumnus was previously stationed at Laughlin Air Force Base in the Del Rio area and is going to be stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada.
Roark is a distinguished graduate of Baylor University's Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps.
He is the son of Gary and Linda Roark.
Dement, who taught Roark in Government and Economics, said as long as he's known the pilot, he wanted to fly ever.

"He was always a very conscientious student who strived to do the best in everything," Dement said.
Ginger Bell, director of admissions and marketing at Brook Hill, said one of the first questions Roark asked when he enrolled at the school was if there was a computer where he could check his stocks.
"He's always been an exceptional young man," she said. "Already we have a student who will be represented in the museum. It's amazing to me."
The museum will also contain documents from presidents, a C47 Paratrooper Plane and a cannon used by Andrew Jackson's men at the Battle of New Orleans, among other things, Dement said.
The American Freedom Museum will be located at Founder's Hall.
Dement said the goal is for the museum to open in November around Veterans Day.
