Tyler ISD Files Construction Permit Worth More Than $15M For Orr Renovation
Construction related to the Tyler ISD bond package replacing several elementary schools is moving through the city permit process. The district filed a permit to build a new Orr Elementary School building at a cost of $15,790,000.

Smith County is remodeling a building at 312 E. Ferguson St. that will house some operations of its physical plant.

A permit estimates the project will cost $10,000.

Other permits call for adding a bathroom to the second floor of Tyler Junior College's Vaughn Library that is compliant with American Disabilities Act requirements, grading work at the site of a restaurant at 903 E. Erwin St., and improvements to a tire service shop at 2310 Mimosa.
