NEW YORK, Texas -- Several East Texas couples celebrated Valentine's Day in exhilarating fashion.

Zip Line Adventures held the “Zip Line With Your Valentine” tour special. A zip line consists of a pulley suspended on a cable mounted on an incline. They are designed to enable a user propelled by gravity to traverse from the top to the bottom of the inclined cable, usually made of stainless steel, by holding on or attaching to the freely moving pulley, according to Wikipedia.com.

Zip Line Adventures is a family owned and operated zip line course. The course has six lines with a view of 30-plus miles of beautiful East Texas scenery. The course, off of County Road 4832 near LaRue, is set on 55 acres owned by the Shultz family in the backyard of their restored home. The home was moved to its present location and restored by the Shultz family.

Michael Kenzie and Steve Foster from Plano surprised their wives by reuniting the two lifelong friends -- Amy Kinzie and Sheila Foster -- after one year of not seeing each other.
