Crime Watch: Police Investigating Aggravated Robbery

Tyler police are investigating the alleged aggravated robbery of an individual. According to a police report, the victim was walking near North Church Avenue and East Hillsboro Street early Sunday morning when a small maroon, four-door passenger car with tinted windows pulled up next to him.

The victim told police a man wearing a ski mask got out of the car and allegedly pointed a handgun and demanded his property. There were no injuries.


AGGRAVATED ASSAULT
A man told police a woman who was trespassing on his property in the 1220 block of West Third Street allegedly hit him in the face with a golf club. The extent of the victim's injuries is unknown.


CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
  • Smith County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the vandalism of five moving vans on Loop 323. No details were given regarding the amount of damage to the vehicles.

  • A victim reported to police that someone smashed his car window in the 600 block of North Border Avenue.


  • AUTO BURGLARY
    A burglary of a vehicle was reported in the 6500 block of South Broadway Avenue. The items reported taken include an iPod.
