Suddenlink To Offer Video On Demand
From Staff Reports

Tyler and Whitehouse digital customers, beginning next Wednesday, will get video-on-demand services, according to a Suddenlink news release.

The service will offer thousands of viewing choices, including movies, sports, news, music and shows from cable networks such as Nickelodeon, NOGGIN, MTV, Comedy Central and Discovery. Local programming, including sports, news and events, also will be available.

An expanded inventory of more than 50 video-on-demand selections of high-definition programming will be included, with more than a third of the Suddenlink's video-on-demand library available for free. The rest will be available for either a per-view charge or monthly subscription.

Viewers can order the titles via remote control any time and access to those titles for up to 24 hours. Videos can be paused, rewound and fast-forwarded, much like tapes in a VCR.

"VOD service clearly puts more control in the customer's hands," Todd Cruthird, Sudden-link's Texoma region vice president, said in the news release. "It lets them view all kinds of entertainment programming, when and how they want to see it."

For more information, visit www.suddenlink.com/vod or Suddenlink's local office at 4949 S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler. They also can reach Suddenlink toll-free at 888-822-5151.
