Woman Threatened With Knife, Police Say
Tyler Police are investigating a report that a man placed a knife to the throat of his girlfriend during an argument early today.

Police were dispatched to a McCurley Road home at 4:44 a.m. on a 911 phone call.

On arrival, officers contacted the caller, who stated that she and her boyfriend had been arguing over his ex-wife and during the argument it became heated and he shoved her down. Police said the woman then called 911 for police assistance and while doing so, the boyfriend jerked the phone from her hand, not letting her speak to a member of the 911 call center.

The woman told police that the man placed a knife to her throat and made several threats. She did not suffer any injuries, and the suspect left prior to officers arriving and was not located.
