Duchess Virginia Lane Wylie
MISS VIRGINIA LANE WYLIE, daughter of Mrs. Caroline King Wylie of Tyler and Mr. Scot Lane Wylie of Lubbock. She is a sophomore at Ole Miss where she is majoring in Art History and is a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority.
Miss Wylie is a graduate of Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of the Coronado Golf team her sophomore, junior and senior year. She was a Symphony Deb all three years in High School and was presented at the Lubbock Symphony Ball in 2007. Miss Wylie was also presented at the 2007 Lubbock Assembly Club and the 2007 Waco Cotton Palace.
Miss Wylie has a lengthy history with the Texas Rose Festival. Her mother, Caroline King Wylie was a lady-in-waiting in 1975. Her sister, Mary Caroline Wylie was a duchess in 2004.
Other family members who have participated in the Rose Festival include: grandfather, the late Jack M. King Sr., 1970 president of the Order of the Rose; grandmother, Mrs. Jack M.
