UPDATE: Teen Shot Several Times in Longview
LONGVIEW — A 16-year-old who was shot several times while he was gambling early this morning remains hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Longview Police Public Information Officer Kevin Brownlee said officers responded to a 911 call at 100 Garfield Dr. about 1:30 a.m.

“A 16-year-old victim was found to have been shot several times by a subject known to the victim. The victim was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center with life-threatening injuries,” he said.

Brownlee said the investigation is ongoing and it appears the shooting is in relation to illegal gambling that was occurring at the location.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Terry Davis at 903-237-1157 or Crime Stoppers at 903-236-7867.
