Tyler Man Robbed at Gunpoint in his House
Jeremy Smith, a resident at 1904 Sunnybrook, arrived home at approximately 10:59 p.m. Friday to find several unknown black males burglarizing his home.

Police said Smith was assaulted by the subjects, one of whom fired a shot into the ceiling of the residence. The suspects fled the residence, stealing Smith’s truck as they left.

Smith suffered non-life threatening injuries from the assault, and was treated at a local hospital. Smith’s truck is described as a 96 Dodge truck, bearing Texas License Plate # 6TJY59.

There is no further information available at this time. Anyone with information on this crime is urged to call the Tyler Police Department.

The investigation into this case is on-going, police said.
