Habitat For Humanity, UT Tyler Team Up
Habitat for Humanity Smith County and the construction management program at The University of Texas at Tyler have entered a partnership.
Students in the program each year will oversee the building of a Habitat House including raising funds, coordinating volunteers and managing construction, said Rand Huzenlaub, Habitat director of volunteers.
Students will begin work on the first house, which is being sponsored by Carrier Corp., today.
The launching of the UT Tyler build will take place from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the construction site on the corner of North Angeline and Duncan streets.
