September 6: What’s Not Being Said Rings Loudest
Republicans are in their own little dream world. They are lulled into a fantasy --- congratulating themselves again for their own imagined virtues, past and present, listening to the crooning of that warmed-over bunch of has-beens they trot out for speakers. I gagged when they dug up that old video about poor old Ronald Reagan again Wednesday night. And all that spin about McCain’s military career, celebrating past exploits on foreign shores.
Fred Thompson of Tennessee, droned on again about McCain’s suffering in Vietnam. That was 25 years ago. How many times do we have to hear that story?
