I read all the letters criticizing me for expressing my concern of increasing attacks against Barrack Obama based on his childhood associations and teenage activities. My point in that Aug. 24 letter was that at a time of history in the making, instead of celebrating and rejoicing, we are engaged in personal destruction and character assassinations. Dan Thomasson in his column on Sept. 1 writes: “The equally offensive effort to connect Obama to militants of the Vietnam era is just as disgusting. Obama was in elementary school at that time… Does this acquaintance mean that Obama is a militant in pacifist’s clothing who consorts with terrorists?”
If you listen to the most popular radio talks shows, or read Jerome Corsi’s latest best seller, Obama Nation, your answer to the last question would be “yes.”
