Whitehouse's Bill Kenney Wins First Week of Pigskin Picks Contest
Bill Kenney of Whitehouse was the winner of the first week of TylerPaper.com’s Pigskin Picks contest. Kenney picked 14 of 15 winners in East Texas high school games correctly, tying several other online players. Kenney predicted the final score of the tiebreaker game, Elysian Fields vs. Troup, as 20-14 in favor of Elysian Fields. The actual final score was Elysian Fields 21, Troup 7.

A computer algorithm computes the player closest to the final score and names that player the winner. Finishing second through fifth, respectively -- also with 14 of 15 correct and Elysian Fields chosen to win the tiebreaker game -- were Bill Carroll of Lindale, Keith Jones of Van, Jeff Casey of Canton and Tracy Ainsworth of Whitehouse.

It’s free to play Pigskin Picks at TylerPaper.com. The contest runs through the regular season and concludes during the first round of post-season playoffs. Visit http://contestcorner.tylerpaper.com to register and start playing!
