August 29: Missing Ideas
I am writing to acknowledge the senate candidate Rick Noriega who came to Tyler and stumped at the park. Guess what? As usual for Democrats, he could only find words of criticism for Republicans.
He says they are out of touch. With whom, may I ask? According to my way of thinking, he and the Democrats are the ones out of touch.
With him being a candidate for the U.S. Senate, one would think he would put forth his ideas on how he would change things for the benefit of the rest of us. After all, there are a number of us involved, and not all of us are Democrats. Do you get it, Mr. Noriega?
The newspaper article indicates he is a lieutenant colonel and a 27-year veteran of the military. Where has he been? I do not agree with everything that the Republican party does, or has done, but they have done more for the military than any Democrat ever will. I am a former member of the military. But, as I was only a sergeant, maybe that means I'm not qualified to speak about what one part or the other does or has done for the military. I suggest that Mr. Noriega get off the stump and stop criticizing and give us ways that he would change things for our good.
