West Sabine Tigers: What to Expect
West Sabine, new to the district from southeast Texas, returns most of its offensive line starters from last year's playoff team.
Sophomore quarterback Devonte' Thomas has big shoes to fill after the 2007 signal-caller made the entire offense tick. Coach Stark raves about Thomas, but says he's still a year away from stardom. "With experience on the offensive line, it's going to help him hopefully get the confidence quicker than what we anticipate," Stark said.
Stark expects the defense to be improved, but cautions that the Tigers' new district is much tougher.
