Joaquin Rams: What to Expect
Joaquin lacks experience at quarterback and running back, but the Rams usually just reload.

"Each and every year, somebody seems to step up," said coach Gandy, who has a 49-22 record at Joaquin. "We're trying to find that person."

Gandy says the strength of the team will be the offensive and defensive lines, where some players are three-year starters.

Cole Leflett, a junior, takes over at quarterback after starting at linebacker last season. Leflett will operate an offense that loves the power running game.

"If we can make four yards and leave a cloud of dust there, we're going to be happy," Gandy said. "We don't play basketball on grass."
