Rose Parade Applications Available
The Texas Rose Festival Association is now accepting participant applications for the Texas Rose Parade, TRFA Executive Director Julie Ischy said.

The 75th Rose Parade is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Oct. 18 in Tyler. The parade is sponsored by the Tyler Morning Telegraph and will be televised by KYTX-CBS 19.

All entries must have public entertainment value. Participation in the Rose Parade is subject to the approval of the Strutters Executive Committee. Deadline for receipt of applications is Sept. 19. Parade categories include: bands, drill teams, cheerleaders, antique cars, specialty cars, floats, horses, Shrine groups, twirlers, walking groups or general entries.

Individuals or groups interested in participating in the parade should go to http://www.texasrosefestival.com/festival/index.htm to download an application or call 903-597-3130, Ext. 11, to request an application.

Ticket orders are also being accepted for the 2008 Texas Rose Festival Parade, Queen's Coronation, Ladies' Luncheon and Men's Luncheon, beginning Sept. 2.

Tickets may be ordered online at www.texasrosefestival.com or by calling the Cowan Center box office at 903-566-7472.
