John Tyler Falls To Corsicana
CORSICANA -- John Tyler played at full strength, but couldn't get over the hump in a 3-0 loss to Corsicana on Tuesday.
Corsicana beat JT by scores of 25-19, 28-26, 25-20 to keep the Lady Lions from rising above the .500 mark for the first time.
JT welcomed back standout senior middle blocker Alexis White for the first time all season. Kelvicia Warren also returned after getting injured in the season opener, though the junior defensive specialist only played 1ï¾½ games.
"We have everybody back but we're still making too many errors," said JT coach Stephanie March-Smith.
Corsicana also claimed both the junior varsity and freshmen matches.
The Lady Lions (6-7) return to action Thursday in the Tyler Invitational. Thirty-two teams are entered in the three-day event, including a team from Arkansas.
