Edgewood Downs Grand Saline And Chapel Hill
GRAND SALINE -- Edgewood swept Grand Saline and Chapel Hill in a dual match Tuesday night.
The Lady 'Dogs defeated Chapel Hill 27-25, 28-25, 26-25 in the opening match. They then beat Grand Saline 25-23, 25-17, 12-25, 25-18.
Edgewood was led in the first match by Ashley Kay (10 kills, 12 digs, three blocks), Chelsey King (five kills, 10 digs), Trisha McDaniel (13 digs) and Brittney Eason (seven kills, eight assists, three aces, nine digs, two blocks).
The Lady 'Dogs were led in the second match by Kay (five kills, six aces, 15 digs, 12 blocks), Emily Eggleston (nine kills, nine aces, nine digs, two blocks) and Dominique Lyons (11 kills, 12 digs).
On Thursday, Edgewood is scheduled to meet Winona at 9 a.m. in the Wills Point tournament.
