RANT: If folks in America, broken down by states, are in favor of banning same-sex marriage, either do something about it or stop sniveling and accept it.

The way to put a stop to it in America is to pass a constitutional amendment. It won't be easy, but the means are at hand. Take a look at all of the megachurches, with their multi-millionaire founders. They have the wherewithal, along with help from their congregations, to pay the expense of putting an initiative on the federal ballot. If you doubt that such an amendment would overwhelmingly pass, I don't know where you have been living.

California and Massachusetts have both legalized same-sex marriages. This was done by their legislatures. I don't know that much about Massachusetts, but I do know about California, having lived there for 58 years.

If you will recall, California overwhelmingly passed a constitutional amendment to clampdown on illegal immigrants, refusing medical and schooling rights to their young. Lawsuits in federal courts put the amendment on hold.

Folks in California are not the bleeding-heart liberals that everybody thinks they are. Look at the number of Republican governors they elect.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed the legislation, but you have to remember, he spent most of his time in America in Hollywood. I have no idea what the folks in his native land feel about the subject. Do something constructive or shut up.
