Lake Palestine Poker Run To Raise Funds For MDA
HM Marine of Tyler announced it will present the Lake Palestine Poker Run to raise funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Boaters on Lake Palestine can take part on Aug. 30 by registering between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at The Villages Marina, organizers said.
Entry fee is $25. Participants will receive a map of the lake with five designated spots. At each spot the participant will receive a sealed playing card.
At 7 p.m. at the Villages, participants will return with their cards and the one with best poker hand will receive half of the pot with the other half going to MDA, organizers said.
Organizers plan to present the donation during the local broadcast of the annual MDA Labor Day Telethon.
