Tyler's Chapman Herwood Places Ninth In Boys 16-18
McKINNEY -- Tyler's Chapman Herwood tied for ninth after Tuesday's final round of the NTPGA Ewing Automotive Junior Tour Championship at Stonebridge Ranch Country Club.

Herwood carded a 78 on Tuesday for a 36-hole total of 157 in the Boys 16-18 Division. He had a 79 on Monday. Herwood tied with Dillon Watkins of Newark (81-76 -- 157).

Patrick Russo of Lewisville won the tourney with an even-par 144 (72-72). He finished one stroke ahead of Ryan Fioretti of Midland (74-71 -- 145). Longview's Michael Stuckey was 11th with a 158 (83-75).

In the Boys 12-13 Division, Scott Scheffler of Dallas won with a score of 148 (73-75). He was two strokes ahead of runner-up Vincent Whaley of McKinney (76-74 -- 150).

Henderson's William Wilder placed 16th with a 174 (91-83), while Hideaway's D.J. Godoy was one stroke behind at 175 (86-89). Jacksonville's Hunter Shattuck (103-92 -- 195), William Bragdon of Murchison (113-83 -- 196) and Stephen Coop of Mineola (106-91 -- 197) each rebounded in the second round to finish 26, 27 and 28, respectively.

Isaiah Huerta of Duncanville (77-74 -- 151) won the Boys 14-15 Division with a playoff win over William Paulsell of Borger (76-75 -- 151).

Mount Pleasant's Bryce Cooper finished eighth with a 160 (83-77), while Trey Volentine of Brownsboro was eighth (83-79 -- 162).

Tyler's Patrick Bosley tied for 15th with a 166 (87-79), while Brandon Downs of Rusk (87-82 -- 169) and Seth Kozsuch of Tyler (86-83 -- 169) tied for 17th.

Also, Bullard's Harrison Dukes was 20th with a 170 (89-81). He was followed by Austin King of Tyler (22, 85-91 -- 176) and Blake Dickerson of Longview (23, 93-87 -- 180).

Johanna Scheeh of Grapevine won the Girls 12-14 Division with a 157 (80-77), two strokes ahead of Macie Seeker of McKinney (87-72 -- 159) and Kirsten Pike of Ovilla (80-79 -- 159).

Tyler's Haley Mills was 15th with a 196 (98-98).

Kaufman's Chantry McMahan won the Girls 15-18 Division with a 150 (74-76), two strokes ahead of Paloma Nunez of Granbury (77-75 -- 152).

The golfers played the Dye course on Monday and the Ranch Course on Tuesday.
