GOVERNMENT MEETINGS
TUESDAY, Aug. 19

TYLER -- Tyler Planning & Zoning Commission, 1:30 p.m., city hall, 212 N. Bonner Ave. Consider zoning change request from Habitat for Humanity.

TYLER -- Tyler Neighborhood Revitalization Board, 4:45 p.m., city hall, 212 N. Bonner Ave. Discuss properties tagged for demolition.

LINDALE -- Lindale City Council, regular meeting, 7 p.m., Kinzie Center, 912 Mt. Sylvan. Discuss formulation of city charter.

WINONA -- Winona City Council, regular meeting, 6:30 p.m., city hall. Discuss water project.

THURSDAY Aug. 21

TYLER -- Tyler Board of Adjustment, 9 a.m., city hall, 212 N. Bonner Ave.

LINDALE -- Lindale Economic Development Corp., 5:30 p.m., Kinzie Center, 912 Mt. Sylvan.

GLADEWATER -- Gladewater City Council, regular meeting, 6 p.m., city hall, 519 E. Broadway. Consider a special use permit for a proposed museum and community building.

MONDAY Aug. 25

TYLER -- Smith County Commissioners, public hearing on budget and tax rate, 5:30 p.m., Courthouse Annex, 200 E. Ferguson St

TYLER -- Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce Banquet, Harvey Convention Center.

WEDNESDAY, Oct. 22

TYLER -- Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce, Senior Health & Living Expo, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., Harvey Convention Center.

TUESDAY, Nov. 4

General Election: polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

TYLER COUNCIL TV

Tyler City Council meetings are at 3 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday on local government access cable channel 3. Tyler Planning and Zoning Commission meetings air at 3 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on the same channel.

TISD TV

Tyler ISD Board of Trustees meetings air at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month and are broadcast at 2 p.m. the following Saturday and 8 p.m. the following Sunday on TISD TV cable 19. Regular board meetings take place at the Jim Plyler Instructional Complex, 807 W. Glenwood Blvd.
