RANT: Watch out, Tyler taxpayers. Good ole’ boy and self pay raise giver Smith County Judge Joel Baker is about to raise your taxes again for his new jail. If you don’t watch it, Baker and his newfound bakers Bobby Curtis and Herb Buie, are going to push this new jail proposal down our throats and automatically raise our taxes again.

Couple this with the raise in TJC taxes and then, guess who is waiting in line for yet another raise in its taxes? You got it, Tyler Independent School District. After a raise of 24 percent last year, now they want more. Where does it end, or even slow down here in Tyler?

Who gave Mr. Curtis, Buie, and Baker the right to raise my taxes? I certainly did not.
