Aug. 17: Building a City
ROSES: I have noticed the increase in negative news from the city of Whitehouse.
I have also followed the city’s efforts to have Whitehouse become more modern and inviting. I have also noticed its efforts to encourage its citizens to take part in the building of a “new Whitehouse.”
I have also followed the city’s efforts to have Whitehouse become more modern and inviting. I have also noticed its efforts to encourage its citizens to take part in the building of a “new Whitehouse.”
But, memory fails even its overwhelming majority of Christians with their judgment in the city’s effort to supply dependable and potable water resources. May I remind them of their choices when asked for additional money or higher prices for modernizing infrastructure, parks, beautifying or anything, which was without exception a big “no.”
And, then to compare this little town’s council’s efforts with that of Tyler just turns ridiculous in principle. Ignorance is bliss, but Tyler overspent millions on its Lake Palestine water project. I live in Tyler, wonderful city with a wonderful government, but I am sure they waste $150,000 a month with inefficiencies.
The town council of Whitehouse and the city should be commended for their great effort to get the city a decision on the future price and availability of its water.
Well done. Only people who never try make no mistakes, and society can get along without those.
