PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Tanya Redic of Harold Carter Realtors traveled to Memphis for the National Association of Real Estate Brokers' 61st National Convention at the Marriott Downtown Hotel, Aug. 8-Monday.
Keynote speaker
Tavis Smiley and other industry leaders followed the theme of "Putting the REAL Back in Real Estate." NAREB was founded in 1947 and has more than 35,000 members and 85 chapters. Mrs. Redic is the board president for the East Texas Chapter.

The conference provides services and information to local bar associations.

The AWM program, in partnership with the Academy of Multidisciplinary Practice Inc., is structured to provide curriculum that will enhance financial consultants' wealth management expertise and improve their ability to deliver superior wealth management services to affluent clients and prospects.

Estes, McClure & Associates Inc. announced licensed professional engineers Scott Clendenin and Josh Gentry were among the first 50 engineers in the nation to achieve the High Performance Building Design professional certification from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc.
Estes, McClure & Associates Inc. announced licensed professional engineers Scott Clendenin and Josh Gentry were among the first 50 engineers in the nation to achieve the High Performance Building Design professional certification from the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc.
The certification, developed by ASHRAE in collaboration with the Illuminating Engineering Society, the Mechanical Contractors Association, the U.S. Green Building Council and the Green Building Initiative, requires demonstration of an understanding and knowledge of how air-conditioning systems integrate into high-performance buildings to achieve energy efficiency and low environmental impact.

Kathey Comer, Tyler Area Builders Association executive officer, attended the EOC Seminar, a five-day educational program in Providence, R.I., presented by the Exec-utive Officers Council of the National Association of Home Builders.

The seminar focuses on professional development for association management professionals, and this year's programming had a special focus on doing more with less and maintaining a high level of member service. The annual event attracts more than 350 participants and features more than 60 education sessions.
NEW ASSIGNMENTS
Drs. Jennifer Calvert, Krystal Castle and David Osteen joined Trinity Clinic, the clinic announced. Drs. Calvert and Osteen are accepting patients at Trinity Clinic Pediatrics, 706 Turtle Creek. Dr. Castle is accepting patients at Trinity Children's Clinic, 305 W. Rusk St.
Dr. Calvert earned her medical degree from The Univer-sity of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Castle received her medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center and completed her residency and internship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Dr. Osteen received his medical degree from the University of Southwestern Medical School at Dallas and completed his residency at Children's Medical Center of Dallas.

Dr. Brady Anderson, son of Ron and Suzanne Anderson of Tyler, has joined Central Texas Surgical Associates in Round Rock.

Dr. Anderson is a graduate of Texas Tech University Health Sciences in Lubbock and completed a residency in general surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

Cody Leifer, vice president of Crow Towing Service, was elected to the board of directors of the Texas Towing and Storage Association, Crow Towing announced.
TTSA promotes professionalism and training in the towing and storage industry.

United Country Real Estate, headquartered in Kansas City, announced that United Country-Bobo Realty in Tyler and United Country-Lake Palestine Real Estate of Lake Palestine earned the company's Diamond Award based on closed sales volume for the first half of 2008.

Both finished in the top 10 percent of United Country's more than 700 offices across the nation.
