Robert E. Lee Wins Season Opener
The Robert E. Lee volleyball team won its season opener Tuesday and will look to stay unbeaten this weekend at the Carthage Tournament.
The Lady Raiders (1-0) are in a pool with perennial 3A playoff power White Oak, Henderson and Queen City. Lee's first match is slated for 11:15 a.m. today at Carthage High School.
In Tuesday's win over Spring Hill, a shorthanded REL squad -- missing three players -- overcame 24 unforced errors to win, 3-0. Senior Sydney Lindsay led the Lady Raiders with nine kills and 13 digs.
