Aug. 11: Out of Bounds
The Los Angeles city council is clearly out of bounds with its moratorium on new fast food eateries in certain sections of its city. This is clearly overreaching and will be challenged in court. They likely will find the right judge to side with them in left wing California.
They cite a study that people will change eating habits. Yeah, when pigs fly. They offer salads at nearly all these fast food joints but it is probably a slow mover. The government at all levels is creeping in on controlling every thing we do. As I sit here writing my letter to your paper I am probably breaking one of the 980,000 pages of rules and regulations in the congressional register. Oh yes, by the way, they add I have read, 200 pages per week to these regulations. We are bound for a dictatorship. Vote for the man who promises the least and you will be least disappointed.
