Tyler P&Z Meets, Approves Standard Business Items
Tyler Planning and Zoning Commission members met on Tuesday to discuss and take action on several zoning-related items, including the following:
Approved a request for a street name change of Lakewood Drive to Point North Drive for the eastern portion of Lakewood Drive, beginning from the southeast intersection of Mineola Highway and extending across Loop 323 WNW.
Approved a request to approve the final site plan to build the Tyler Board of Realtors office building on 4.18 acres at 2759 McDonald Road.
Approved a zoning change request for 1.44 acres at 325 E. Erwin St. and 105 S. Center Ave. to allow for construction of a commercial building.
Approved a request to approve a site plan amendment on 10.63 acres at 3550 Old Jacksonville Highway to increase access to the highway.
Denied a plat for 3.667 acres at the southeast intersection of Earlene Street and Julia Drive to create a one-lot subdivision.
Approved a plat for 3.113 acres near the intersection of South Horace Avenue and Richards Street to create separate ownership areas for St. Paul United Methodist Church and St. Paul Children's Foundation.
Approved a preliminary plat for 0.984 acres north of the intersection of South Broadway Avenue and ESE Loop 323 to create a legal lot of record.
Approved a plat amendment of the Cascades VI Survey for 53.65 acres east of Scenic Drive and north of Spur 364 in order to dedicate electric easements.
Planning and Zoning meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at City Hall, 212 N. Bonner Ave. Meetings begin at 1:30 p.m.
